Barthélémy Griño has fitted out four office floors for Christian Dior Couture in the Tour Alto. Sylvia Griño designed a transparent interior architecture project embodying the brand’s identity and adapted to the building’s emblematic flared shape.
The workspaces, showroom and terrace offer a panoramic view from the north of the Esplanade de la Défense over the Greater Paris area and the meandering Seine. The general layout defines an unobstructed circular path bathed in natural light, with the partitions separating the main circulation, offices and meeting rooms entirely glazed. The spaces and furniture are arranged in curves and counter-curves within a sober, elegant environment.
The moderate colour palette combines the warmth of wood with a harmony of beige, providing a counterpoint to the crystalline element. Fabrics and prints combine to reveal the fundamentals of the house. The design of an engraved acoustic felt was the subject of a specific and original development. Selected instances of toile de Jouy and caning are combined with noble materials and bespoke finishes, like the fluted oak reception desks.
Multiple curtains with combined and superimposed textures shape light and shade, and spatially delimit uses. The meeting rooms, phone boxes and tea rooms are all adaptable spaces that facilitate meetings and enrich the teams’ experience.
